The Kinesiology Advantage

What are Kinesiologists and what services can a Kinesiologist provide?

Kinesiologists are human movement specialists that are trained to understand human anatomy & physiology as they relate to the complex mechanics that power movement – from bones and muscles, to the nervous system and cardiovascular system

Using our extensive and thorough knowledge of human body mechanics, we can create individual exercise programs to effectively address various acute injuries (ex. Sprains, knee replacements), chronic conditions (Multiple Sclerosis, Osteoarthritis, etc.), and personal fitness goals

What is the difference between a Registered Kinesiologist and a Personal Trainer?

Personal trainers are great for meeting general physical health goals, such as weight loss, muscle toning, general strength and flexibility. Comparatively, Kinesiologists do not give generic workout programs, but rather have a deeper scope of practice wherein programs are individualized to clients’ unique movement capabilities and are more therapeutic in nature so that quality of life is improved. Kinesiologists can also use various injury rehabilitation techniques in order to optimize client care

Are Kinesiology services covered by insurance?

Yes, most insurance usually can cover Kinesiology services; however, you would have to double check with your insurance company, depending on the plan that you have
